Ayden Millar

Ayden Millar is a Glasgow based Art Director with 16 years of experience in the Film & TV industry. She graduated with a BA in Technical and Production Arts from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2010. Ayden specialises in HETV Drama, with a diverse portfolio that also includes Children’s TV, studio based Light Entertainment, Commercials, Film, Music Videos, and Docudrama. Her work has taken her internationally, with credits filming in Morocco, Malta and Svalbard.

Alongside her production work, Ayden is an active mentor and speaker, regularly contributing to industry panels and training events. She has led and participated in sessions for BAFTA Scotland: Career Close Up, BAFTA Guru Live, BECTU Vision: Careers Behind the Scenes, Glasgow Film Festival’s International Women’s Day panel, Edinburgh Screen’s HETV Inspire Sessions, the Royal Conservatoire’s Fair Access X Creative Conversations, GMAC Film’s Screen Start Commissioning Scheme and their Art Department Masterclass with Glasgow University, as well as NFTS’s Set Ready: Working in the Art Department.

In 2019, Ayden was selected for the ScreenSkills HETV Make a Move programme while art directing BBC and Studio Lambert’s The Nest. She is a graduate of the 2022-2025 cohort of ScreenSkills’ Leaders of Tomorrow - a flagship initiative supporting emerging heads of department, with tailored mentoring towards Supervising Art Director roles.
